About the event
In France, the Epiphany, celebrated on January 6th, is a cherished tradition that centres around the "Galette des Rois" or King’s Cake. This flaky, almond-filled pastry hides a small charm known as a fève. Families and friends gather to share the galette, and the person who finds the fève in their slice is crowned king or queen, wearing a paper crown provided with the cake. The ritual is deeply embedded in French culture, with bakeries across the country offering galettes throughout January. It’s a festive moment, filled with warmth, joy, and a sense of community.
