L’islam en France

Islam, emerging from migratory movements, is a minority religion in France. Frequent images of mosques overflowing with worshippers suggest that the religious practice of Muslims is devout. But what exactly is Islam in France? How can a minority religion find its place in a secular democracy? Like other minority religions, does Islam bring diversity and therefore enrichment? Or, as some like to claim, not without populism, is Islam a threat to our democratic values? Or perhaps the Islam of France will succeed in uniting Muslims?
